12 Dec Excellence In Fine Arts
2024 Florida ACDA Honor Choir
WA Sophomore Liam Pace was selected and participated in the 2024 Florida ACDA Honor Choir (American Choral Directors Association). He was selected out of 480 students statewide and performed with 120 top high school musicians from across the state. This was an outstanding achievement for Liam and an excellent opportunity to showcase his abilities.
All-County & All-State
Each year, students are selected from across the county and the state to participate in All-County and All-State events, respectively. These ensembles are based on excellence, and students are tested on prepared music and sight reading skills when reading music for the first time. Students audition from most schools within their particular area of involvement, local or statewide, and competition is intense. The All-State ensembles are exceptionally competitive. This year, the following students were selected.
All County Gold Orchestra:
- Eva Kennicott, 10th grade
All County Silver Orchestra:
- Jamil Boctor, 9th grade
- Abry Kennicott, 7th grade
- Isabella Mesquita, 7th grade
- Luna Agostini, 7th grade
- Angelina Mesquita, 6th grade
All County Band:
- Felipe Rubio, 9th grade
All State Orchestra:
- Abry Kennicott, 7th grader, Middle School honors orchestra.
In February, students accepted to the All-County event will perform at the Coral Spring Center for the Arts. Our All-State student, Abry Kennicott, will perform at the Tampa Convention Center in early January.
