Few things rival the excitement of Lions High School Athletics. From Friday nights under the lights to watch parties cheering on championship basketball, it is an honor to be a part of such a uniquely talented group of student-athletes and teams.

Our student-athletes and coaches commit to seeking excellence through athletics both on and off the fields and courts. Athletics are not only an extension of the classroom but an expression and testimony of our faith in Christ.

With 22 current sports offered, WA has something for every student-athlete. In fact, two out of every three high school students compete in at least one sport.

To learn more about how your child can benefit from our commitment to excellence on and off the field at Westminster Academy, we encourage you to contact Admissions.

Planning for College Athletics

Helping Student-Athletes Compete at the Next Level

At Westminster Academy, we are committed to supporting student-athletes who aspire to play at the collegiate level. Navigating the NCAA eligibility process is a critical step in ensuring your child is prepared for recruitment and competition in college athletics.

Through the NCAA Clearinghouse, student-athletes can:

  • Learn about Division I and Division II eligibility requirements
  • Register with the NCAA Clearinghouse—a necessary step for college recruitment
  • Access and track their individual eligibility status

Important: Students planning to compete in college athletics must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse during their junior year to maintain eligibility.

For those considering athletics at smaller colleges, we encourage families to explore opportunities through the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

At Westminster Academy, we help student-athletes pursue their passion for sports while excelling in academics and growing in Christian character. Let us guide your child toward success—on and off the field!
