As we begin a new semester, please save the date for these upcoming events!
- Tomorrow! January 13: Coffee with the LPA—“Anxiety: Strategies and Tools for Helping Your Child Deal with Anxiety.” Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Owner of Lighter Living Counseling, and alumna, Sheilah Abadines ’06 Ledesma, will be our guest speaker.
- February 4: Chili Cook-off presented by the Mane Event team prior to the Winter Court Basketball Game
- February 23: Coffee with the LPA
- March 31: Fishing Tournament
- April 4: Coffee with the LPA
Uniform Bank Open on Conference Day—February 1
The Uniform Bank will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during Conference Day for Grades PK2–8 on Wednesday, February 1. The uniform bank is located in the 2nd and 3rd-grade hallway. Directional signs will be in place. The Spirit Store will also be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We need families to donate gently used uniforms your children have outgrown. Please send in clean, bagged items with your child in advance of the sale so that we can restock our shelves. Bins will be in place at the Welcome Center and the Lower School/PREP car line beginning Tuesday, January 17.
Promote Your Business in the New LPA Business Directory
It’s not too late to add your business to the LPA Business Directory. The school is frequently asked for referrals to businesses affiliated with WA families. This is an avenue for current WA families and alumni families to raise awareness of their businesses and services in the WA community. Visit wa.edu/lpabiz, and click “Add Listing.” Click here to download step-by-step instructions. The fee to be included in the directory is $250, and all proceeds support the work that the LPA does for our school, including faculty and staff appreciation, hospitality at school events, treats for students, and more. The directory is promoted through the WA App, eNews, social media, our annual PawPrint, various event programs, and the WA website. Our extended community includes a reach of over 5,000 constituents, in addition to the 800 families enrolled this school year, so this is an excellent opportunity for exposure! Please use this perpetual prayer calendar each month to join us in praying for our school, leadership, faculty, staff, students, and their families.
