15 Feb WA Fine Arts Students In The Community
Fine Arts students have been active this quarter around the state! The 6th–8th-Grade Band and Orchestra students enjoyed a unique performance from The New World Symphony at their performing arts center in Miami Beach, the New World Center for the Arts. Students were inspired by these accomplished musicians and challenged in their musical education through instructional activities woven throughout the performance.
Several Westminster Academy orchestra students were selected to participate in the 2023–24 All Broward County Honor Orchestra. Student musicians in grades 6–8 and their accomplished clinicians rehearsed for several days as an ensemble and then performed together at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. Unique opportunities like this allow students to develop their God-given talents and shine for His glory! Congratulations to these outstanding musicians!
Last week, the 6th–8th-Grade Band and Orchestra students performed for a senior living community in Orlando. Our seniors are some of the most valuable members of our society and are a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Our students blessed this group of seniors with their musical gifts and talents. In return, our WA student musicians were humbled by the outpouring of gratitude from this community. The seniors have requested they return next year!
The WA Fine Arts program continues to provide students with unique opportunities to learn and develop their skills through worship, community outreach, competition, and performance.
