22 May Academic Awards Ceremonies
Westminster Academy recently held its annual year-end awards ceremonies, recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of students in both the PREP (Grades 3-6) and Eighth-grade programs.
The PREP ceremony was a joyous celebration. Students were recognized for their academic progress with our Honor Roll Recipients, service as Student Council Members, and Sportsmanship and Perseverance Awards. The “Timothy Award” and “Young Lion Award” highlighted Christian character and well-rounded development fostered in the PREP program at WA. The Awards Assembly was a culmination of our close partnership between teachers and families to promote an environment where students receive a strong academic foundation while discovering their gifts and talents for God’s glory.
The Eighth-grade ceremony marked a significant milestone in the lives of our students. Awards like “Highest GPA /Academic Captains” and “The Pinnacle Award” acknowledged academic excellence, while others celebrated artistic talents, leadership, and dedication. But what truly set this ceremony apart was the recognition of Christian character. Awards like “The Fruits of the Spirit,” the “Barnabas Award,” and our traditional “Lion Award” underscored the importance of faith and character alongside academic achievement.
These ceremonies were a beautiful reflection of how Westminster Academy equips God’s covenant students for God’s glory—where academic excellence and spiritual growth go hand-in-hand. Congratulations to all the award recipients! We are excited to see what the future holds for this talented and faithful group of students.
