Fall Sports Update

Fall sports season is heating up! Our teams are putting in the hard work and seeing amazing results. Stay informed about our teams’ progress, exciting games, and upcoming events on our website, and join us in cheering on our Lions!

Volleyball: The Lady Lions volleyball team continues to shine this season, securing a thrilling 3-0 victory over the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs this week. The Lady Lions host the Calvary Christian Eagles tonight. Keep up the fantastic work, Lions!

Football: The Lions football team remains undefeated this season, boasting victories against Tradition Prep (28-20) and North Broward Prep (40-13)! The next showdown is set for Friday, September 13th, at 7 p.m. at the West Campus Athletic Complex, where they’ll take on the Somerset Academy Panthers. Don’t miss it!

Cross Country: The team has one of its most remarkable seasons yet! Currently ranked #1 in the division and 4th in the state, the men’s team is led by standout runners Jonathan Pena and Tanner Pritchard. The Lions are on fire this season, with top finishes at almost every meet! The Lady Lions, led by standout performances from Eugenia Fantoni, Noelle Richardson, Karlynn Cordano, Annabel Farrar, and Annabelle Van Tine, continue to excel. Currently ranked 4th in 1A, the team shows great promise for the rest of the season. Keep up the great work, Lions!

Swim: The swim and dive teams have made a splash early in the season, starting strong at the 30th annual WA Relay Meet. Competing against eight South Florida schools, the Lions secured wins in the Men’s 200 Butterfly, Men’s and Ladies’ 200 Backstroke, and Men’s 200 Breaststroke relays. This weekend, they’ll be heading to Jacksonville for their next meet!

Golf: The Lady Lions golf team, led by Senior Captain Sara Davey, tied for first against Pompano Beach and Marjory Stoneman Douglas, continuing their strong performance this season. On the men’s side, junior Freddie Rogacki led the team to further victories. The future looks bright for Lions golf!

Cheer: Our cheer squad is bringing the spirit this season, with over 30 enthusiastic members energizing the stands at every game! They’re pumped for both the upcoming competitive cheer and basketball seasons. Keep up the excitement!

Soccer Update: We are excited to welcome Coach Sebastian Vallejo to Westminster Academy as our Head Men’s Varsity Soccer coach. With years of coaching experience and a strong playing background, Coach Vallejo aims to elevate and grow the soccer program.
