We are very proud of our WA Athletes competing at the state level!
Cross Country
Ladies: The team shined at the State Championship meet in Tallahassee! This incredible performance at the highest platform is a testament to their teamwork and determination all season. Congratulations to all of our state competitors on a memorable finish!
- Eugenia Fantoni medaled at the meet with another impressive sub-20-minute time!
- The team brought their A-game and finished strong in 6th place overall.
- Huge shoutout to Noelle Richardson, Annie Farrar, Annabelle Van Tine, Karlynn Cordano, Reese Richardson, and Avery Carvell for their dedication and hard work.
Men: The team once again delivered an incredible performance at the State Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee! We’re proud of our team’s hard work and determination this season. Congratulations on a memorable season!
- Jonathan Pena and Tanner Pritchard medaled, leading the way for the team.
- The Men’s Team secured an impressive 4th-place finish.
- Strong showings by Lucas Latimore, Tyler Pritchard, Scott Sanok, Wilson Seeman, and Daniel Puce.
Swim & Dive
Ladies: Ladies’ 200 Free Relay of Siri Deenah, Danielle Gordon, Marley Scott, and Markeli Jones-Tynes competed hard as our first Ladies’ relay team to make it to the State meet in several years. We’re so proud of all of our Aquatic Lions, Head Coach Sam Freas, and the entire coaching staff on a remarkable season! It is a testament to their hard work and dedication all year to prepare for this competition.
Men: The WA Lions Swim team made us proud at the 2024 State Championship meet! The highlights of the meet include:
- The Men’s 200 Free Relay placed 2nd while also breaking the school record with their time of 1:26.00! Congratulations to Dane Fox, Christian Clark, Abram Johnson, and Kyle Gayle on this memorable finish!
- In addition, our Men’s 400 Free Relay placed 4th and had a school record time of 3:11:08. Congratulations to Chris Bennett, Christian Clark, Abram Johnson, and Kyle Gayle on their accomplishments!
- Senior Christian Clark decisively ended his WA swim career by placing individually in the 100 Free and 9th in the 50 Free.
- Abram Johnson also finished strong, placing 14th in the 50 Free.
