20 Mar WA Musicians Shine at All-County Honor Ensembles & Beyond!
Westminster Academy students showcased their musical talents at the All-County Honors Orchestra Performance, a prestigious event featuring top young musicians across Broward County. Over four days of rehearsals, guided by distinguished conductors, our students prepared and performed outstanding pieces.
Representing WA in Orchestra:
- Bronze (6th Grade): Andrew Boctor, Arya Parcinski, Jake Johasky, Lucas Haymond
- Silver (7th & 8th Grade): Isabella Mesquita (co-concertmaster), Abry Kennicott, Luna Agostini, Angelina Mesquita
- Silver (High School): Jamil Boctor
- Gold (High School): Eva Kennicott
In the All-County Honors Band, WA freshman Felipe Rubio was among only eight euphonium players selected in Broward County—an incredible achievement!
New World Symphony Experience
Sixth–eighth grade Band & Orchestra students enjoyed an inspiring performance by the New World Symphony at the New World Center for the Arts in Miami Beach. This interactive experience deepened their musical appreciation and challenged them in their musical education.
Orlando Performance & Universal Trip
Seventh and eighth-grade Band & Orchestra students traveled to Orlando, where they performed at a senior living community, touching hearts through music. Afterward, they celebrated with a fun team-building day at Universal Studios—a perfect blend of service, music, and fellowship!
Congratulations to all our talented musicians for their dedication and excellence! The WA Fine Arts program provides students unique opportunities to learn and develop skills through worship, community outreach, competition, and performance.
