We are thrilled to announce that Westminster Academy has officially acquired the remaining 48 years of the adjacent La Quinta property land lease! This generational milestone is a testament to God’s provision and the faithful support of our WA community. This acquisition expands our campus footprint, strengthens safety, and creates opportunities for future academic, athletic, and early childhood facilities. Westminster Academy partnered with Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church to bring this long-held vision to life, which was approved during a special congregational meeting held this past May. Westminster Academy is blessed to have Mr. Matt Calderin leading our Fine Arts program. A Hollywood, Florida native, Mr. Calderin began playing drums at age five and was already performing professionally by thirteen. At sixteen, he was recognized in DownBeat Magazine as a Gold and All-Star award winner before earning a full scholarship to the University of Miami School of Music. His career has taken him worldwide, where he has performed with renowned artists including The Beach Boys, Herbie Hancock, Paquito D’Rivera, Wycliffe Gordon, Nestor Torres, and even William Shatner. Last Friday, Westminster Academy held our largest Lions Parent Association (LPA) Prayer Walk to date—a remarkable testament to God’s presence and faithfulness on our campus. Parents, staff, and students came together to lift up every aspect of life at WA in prayer. Together, we gave thanks for God’s provision, including the long-awaited acquisition of the La Quinta property—a tangible reminder of decades of faithful prayer. Specifically, we prayed for transportation, facilities, and security; for WA families, Lower School/PREP, and Upper School; for the Class of 2026 and the future of our school; and for academics, athletics, the arts, and extracurricular programs....

The Lions Parent Association (LPA) supports the mission of Westminster Academy by building community, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering school spirit. Earlier this month, we launched the year with our fall LPA kickoff, enjoying a great turnout and meaningful connections with our WA families.
