On January 27, High School students spent the day volunteering in the community for Service Project Day. Each grade served at a different local non-profit organization. Students in 9th grade attended The Fruitful Field, where they worked in the community garden and helped to provide fresh produce to underserved families in the community, and at Feeding South Florida, where they packed 10,000 pounds of food. Students in 10th grade served for Heart2Heart Outreach, where they were split between two care center facilities impacting 40 senior citizens. The Lower School/PREP Fun Run was held yesterday, February 8, and was a huge success, beating the original goal and raising over $60,000! These funds will help provide playground equipment and technology. Students from PK2 through sixth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. Booster visited classrooms and talked to students about how to choose to live with character every day through Booster's brand new character theme, Grand Land Adventure. ​Dear WA Community, The new year often represents an opportunity to reset. Some capture this idea with “resolutions,” which, while well-intentioned, can tend to have a short shelf life. To wit, I don’t have access to the data, but I suspect that gym memberships and training sessions spike around the middle of January and are in full decline by March.
