It is that time of year when our WA Alumni take on the faculty for our annual co-ed basketball game. Winners get bragging rights and the Lion Knockout Trophy for a year. The 11th Annual Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Fusion Powder Coating was a grand success! We had our highest participation yet, 91 participants, including 14 students, and a total of $44,000 raised for the Annual Fund. In November, fifteen students in grades 6-8 competed in our annual spelling bee. After studying a list of over 400 words, eighth-grade student, Olivia Faber, won the bee with the championship word “undine”. Olivia will go on to represent WA virtually at the regional qualifiers on February 23. Registration is nearing capacity for the 11th Annual Westminster Academy Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Fusion Powder Coating on Friday, December 2, at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee. Spend the day in the great outdoors! Participants will enjoy a country breakfast, then take aim at clay pigeons on a 14-station course, and end the event with a hearty lunch. All skill levels are welcome to participate! However, all minors must be accompanied by a participating parent.
