Join us this Friday, August 16, at 6:00 p.m. for the Varsity Football Kickoff Classic and Back-to-School Tailgate at the West Campus Athletic Complex. The Lions Varsity Football Team will take on the Somerset Academy Key Lions with the game kickoff at 7:00 p.m. There will be fun for the whole family! Be sure to come hungry—food will be available from food trucks, and the Lions Athletic Club Concessions Stand will be open. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted. The Lions Athletic Club (LAC) offers WA Parent 2’ x 3’ Banners for $500 for the 2024–25 academic year on the east or west campus. 100% of the proceeds will be used to support athletics. We are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at Westminster Academy. We are offering stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium to support the basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball programs. This unique seating is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our athletic programs and provide a comfortable and unique athletic experience for our family and fans. Every year, the National Football Foundation hosts the Brian Piccolo Awards Banquet. This awards dinner pays tribute to the late Brian Piccolo, a standout football player for St. Thomas Aquinas, Wake Forest, and in the NFL with the Chicago Bears. In addition, it gathers 41 senior student-athletes from Broward County schools who excel both academically and on the football field. This morning, Shawn Cerra from the Brian Piccolo Chapter of the National Football Foundation joined us on campus to share that WA senior Anthony Barbar was selected as the 2024 overall winner of the Brian Piccolo Award.
