We are excited about the fun-filled summer we’ve planned for our campers in preschool through those going into sixth grade in the fall! Camp WA offers a wide range of structured activities that are age-appropriate and loads of fun! This activities-based camp is open to children turning two before September 1 through those going into sixth grade in the fall. Camp WA provides a fun, safe, and secure environment at an affordable price. Most of all, our dedicated staff offers a high-quality camp experience. Congratulations to our WA District 7 Thespian Troupe 8570 for their outstanding performances at the 2024 Florida State Thespian competition in Tampa. We are excited to announce that all high school students who performed received an excellent or superior rating! In addition to their performance pieces, the students participated in various workshops and watched two fabulous mainstage performances of Newsies and The Miracle Worker. Congratulations to WA senior, Samuel Seeman, on advancing to the Finalist standing in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program! High school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year. As a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Samuel represents less than one percent of high school seniors in the United States! Eighth-grade students recently returned from the annual Washington, D.C. trip. Civics teacher, Mr. Williams, built excitement among the students and prepared them for the impactful sites they discovered. The trip began with a visit to the Museum of the Bible, offering a unique way to engage with the Bible using cutting-edge technology, which brought the Bible to life for our students. It was a packed schedule, taking in all the sites of the nation’s capital—from seeing the “Charters of Freedom” at the National Archives to the Lincoln and Korean Memorials and a tour of the United States Capitol.
