At Westminster Academy, service is more than an activity—it’s an opportunity for our students to put their faith into action and live out the call to love our neighbors. Recently, our PREP 4 and PREP 5 students did just that through a meaningful service project with CROS Ministries. Our students spent the day gleaning in the fields, harvesting nearly 3,000 pounds of fresh peppers. These peppers were donated to local food banks and the VA hospital to bless veterans and families experiencing food insecurity in our tri-county area. Our fourth-grade students recently enjoyed an unforgettable adventure to St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city. This annual trip provided a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience the rich history they’ve studied in Social Studies throughout the year. During the trip, students explored the historic Castillo de San Marcos, visited a Spanish Mission, climbed the iconic St. Augustine Lighthouse, and even discovered the legendary Fountain of Youth. Each stop brought Florida’s history to life, allowing students to connect classroom lessons with real-world experiences. Our WA Jr. Thespian Troupe recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Orlando, where they competed in the Florida State Junior Thespian Competition! Students in grades 6–8 showcased their talents in both technical and performance theater categories, attended world-class theatrical performances, and spent meaningful time together in God’s word.
