The 8th-grade class participated in our first Heroes’ Day, where they paired up with students from Super School and engaged with them in a variety of field day activities. Our students were able to live out their faith as they served and connected with other students in South Florida. WA students later shared how the day impacted them and what their takeaways were. One of the Super School staffers spoke to  Mr. Pelland and shared, “Your students were amazing. We are excited about the fun-filled summer we’ve planned for our campers in preschool through those going into sixth grade in the fall! Camp WA offers a wide range of structured activities that are age-appropriate and loads of fun! This activities-based camp is open to children turning two before September 1 through those going into sixth grade in the fall. Camp WA provides a fun, safe, and secure environment at an affordable price. Most of all, our dedicated staff provides a high-quality camp experience. Our Ladies’ Soccer team advanced to the Regional Semifinals and lost a close match against the True North Classical Titans 0-2. They got stronger as the season went on and had a solid postseason finish as District Runner-Ups. The Ladies’ Basketball team won the Regional Quarterfinals last night, so they will advance to the Regional Semifinals, which will be played on Monday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Somerset Prep North Lauderdale. The Men’s Basketball team is currently ranked #1 in Class 3A in Florida as they head into the Regional Tournament. The Lions defeated Miami Country Day in the District Finals...

Earlier this month, WA was full of school spirit in honor of Winter Court with dress-up days for even our youngest lions, the Winter Court presentation in the upper school chapel, and Friday’s pep rally. All festivities led to the WA Lions basketball game on Saturday, February 2, against Somerset Prep North Lauderdale Hurricanes. The Lions celebrated with a decisive win 79–35. The game was not the only crowning achievement celebrated. All festivities lead to the Winter Court Men’s Varsity Basketball game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, against Taravella High School.
