Our Band and Orchestra’s trip to New Orleans was amazing! From the vibrant streets of the French Quarter to the soulful sounds of live jazz echoing throughout the city, the experience was unforgettable. Our eighth-grade students recently returned from an incredible trip to Washington, D.C.—a memorable tradition that brings classroom lessons to life while deepening their understanding of our nation’s history and Christian heritage. Led by Civics teacher Mr. Williams, the trip was designed to explore history, civic engagement, and a biblical worldview. Students toured many of our nation’s most significant sites, including the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress, learning firsthand about the foundations of American government. At Westminster Academy, service is more than an activity—it’s an opportunity for our students to put their faith into action and live out the call to love our neighbors. Recently, our PREP 4 and PREP 5 students did just that through a meaningful service project with CROS Ministries. Our students spent the day gleaning in the fields, harvesting nearly 3,000 pounds of fresh peppers. These peppers were donated to local food banks and the VA hospital to bless veterans and families experiencing food insecurity in our tri-county area.
