The Lower School/PREP Fun Run was held yesterday, February 8, and was a huge success, beating the original goal and raising over $60,000! These funds will help provide playground equipment and technology. Students from PK2 through sixth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. Booster visited classrooms and talked to students about how to choose to live with character every day through Booster's brand new character theme, Grand Land Adventure. The event culminated on the field with the run, and older students got an extra special treat—a color run! A special thank you goes to our Community Partner, Benedetti Orthodontics,...

Re-enrollment for the 2023–24 school year is just around the corner. Next week, all currently enrolled families will receive an email with details about the re-enrollment process. The preferred enrollment window for our current families begins on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, the first day of the second semester, and concludes on January 31. Last year we had a 92% retention rate and high interest from new families, which resulted in waiting lists. Given the interest already expressed by new families, we are encouraging families to re-enroll as soon as possible because, on February 1, we will begin to admit new...

In November, fifteen students in grades 6-8 competed in our annual spelling bee. After studying a list of over 400 words, eighth-grade student, Olivia Faber, won the bee with the championship word “undine”. Olivia will go on to represent WA virtually at the regional qualifiers on February 23. Congratulations to Nicholas Sirois (8th-grade) who earned 2nd place, and Rebekah Cochrane (8th-grade) who came in 3rd.  ...

During the week of October 24, grades 3–6 participated in Digital T.H.I.N.K. Week, which was led by PREP Principal Dr. Rebekah Owens. The purpose of this week was to help students make thoughtful and positive choices with technology while recognizing that their choices affect their community and themselves. T.H.I.N.K. stands for T (trustworthy), H (helpful), I (inspiring), N (necessary), and K (kind), and students were asked to reflect on whether the choices they were making on the computer reflected these values. Each day of the week focused and expanded on one of these topics. Discussions included evaluating whether you could trust...

Our new school-branded activity bus was showcased at the football game last Friday night, where the varsity Lions won 23–0 over the Bradenton Christian School Panthers in the first game of the regular season! This additional bus will transport students to a variety of off-campus activities and will also serve as a traveling billboard for our school while representing Westminster Academy's standard of excellence! We are grateful for the family who provided a $50K match to encourage generosity for this project, which was chosen as our Annual Auction Heart Raise last spring. Our community responded with an additional $65K in donations! Thank you so much...
