Since January, members of our WA Environmental Club have been hard at work cleaning and restoring an abandoned sand dune in Pompano Beach! After nearly 500 hours of community service, our students planted 250 native plants to prevent erosion and create habitats for local wildlife. This impactful project was made possible through a $5,000 Broward County Youth Climate Action Fund grant—earned through the students’ outstanding proposal. The team isn’t done yet! This fall, a string quintet from our WA high school orchestra—joined by our orchestra director, Mr. David Schwartz—had the honor of performing at the Hope Women’s Center Annual Banquet at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach. This was a special opportunity for our students to use their God-given talents, alongside their director, to bless others and glorify Him through music. Registration is now open for the 14th Annual Westminster Academy Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Big Time Adventure on Friday, December 5, at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee. Spend the day in the great outdoors! Participants will enjoy a country breakfast, then take aim at clay pigeons on a 14-station course, and end the event with a hearty lunch.
