In November, fifteen students in grades 6-8 competed in our annual spelling bee. After studying a list of over 400 words, eighth-grade student, Olivia Faber, won the bee with the championship word “undine”. Olivia will go on to represent WA virtually at the regional qualifiers on February 23. Nor should we ignore its importance, for as Christian citizens, we have a duty to participate in the electoral process. Registration is nearing capacity for the 11th Annual Westminster Academy Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Fusion Powder Coating on Friday, December 2, at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee. Spend the day in the great outdoors! Participants will enjoy a country breakfast, then take aim at clay pigeons on a 14-station course, and end the event with a hearty lunch. All skill levels are welcome to participate! However, all minors must be accompanied by a participating parent. The Junior Thespians attended Districts on November 5. This was the largest group of students from WA ever to attend, and they walked away with 9 Superiors and 12 Excellent ratings from the judges! The group will continue on to the Junior Thespians States in Orlando on January 12.
