It is that time of year when our WA Alumni take on the faculty for our annual co-ed basketball game. Winners get bragging rights and the Lion Knockout Trophy for a year. The game will be held immediately following our Varsity Men's Basketball Winter Court game which will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 7 p.m. All alumni are invited to come out as players or fans. ​Dear WA Community,  One thing that marks the Christmas season is tradition. At our house, we have old family ornaments that must go on the tree, the making of spritz cookies, and the Christmas morning scripture reading. Our family reads John 1:1–18 as we consider the wonder and good news of Christmas—the gift of salvation through the birth of Jesus Christ. John writes that “the true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” In this way, the coming of the Christ fulfilled the promise in Isaiah 9:2, “the people living in darkness have seen a great light.”...

Re-enrollment for the 2023–24 school year is just around the corner. Next week, all currently enrolled families will receive an email with details about the re-enrollment process. The preferred enrollment window for our current families begins on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, the first day of the second semester, and concludes on January 31. Last year we had a 92% retention rate and high interest from new families, which resulted in waiting lists. In November, fifteen students in grades 6-8 competed in our annual spelling bee. After studying a list of over 400 words, eighth-grade student, Olivia Faber, won the bee with the championship word “undine”. Olivia will go on to represent WA virtually at the regional qualifiers on February 23.
