For 36 years, Westminster Academy’s PK4 students have proudly participated in the beloved Red, White, and Blue Bike Parade in honor of Veterans Day. This longstanding tradition allows our youngest students to celebrate the day in a meaningful way, decorating their bikes with patriotic stars, stripes, and American flags before riding through the Lower School hallways and gym. Fine Arts students have been active this quarter around the state! The 6th–8th-Grade Band and Orchestra students enjoyed a unique performance from The New World Symphony at their performing arts center in Miami Beach, the New World Center for the Arts. Students were inspired by these accomplished musicians and challenged in their musical education through instructional activities woven throughout the performance. Several Westminster Academy orchestra students were selected to participate in the 2023–24 All Broward County Honor Orchestra.
