We are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at Westminster Academy. We are offering stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium to support the basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball programs. This unique seating is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our athletic programs and provide a comfortable and unique athletic experience for our family and fans. Our Ladies’ Soccer team advanced to the Regional Semifinals and lost a close match against the True North Classical Titans 0-2. They got stronger as the season went on and had a solid postseason finish as District Runner-Ups. The Ladies’ Basketball team won the Regional Quarterfinals last night, so they will advance to the Regional Semifinals, which will be played on Monday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Somerset Prep North Lauderdale. There have been some exciting moments in WA athletics as we said “goodbye” to 2023 and “hello” to 2024. The Lions Competitive Cheer team won their division at the National Christian Cheerleading Championships in Orlando! It’s been nine years since WA’s last competitive cheer competition, and we’re so proud of their strong first season! Welcome to the 2023–2024 winter athletic season! Below, you will find a list of the winter sport tryout dates and contact information for each coach. Bus transportation will be offered to and from the west campus athletic complex for student-athletes daily and will depart at 3:15 p.m. Every student-athlete must have a completed athletic physical turned in before they try out. We are using the SportsWareOnLine system again this year for athletic physicals.
