Recently, Westminster Academy hosted the Christian College Fair. There were 32 Christian colleges from across the nation set up to visit with our students in the James F. Lindsay Gymnasium. Juniors and seniors spoke with college representatives to learn what each school offers. Often, the college representatives who visit are the ones who are reading through applications, so this opportunity to connect can make a significant impact. On Wednesday, May 10, we had the privilege of having Dr. Ben Carson on campus to speak to students in grades K–12. Dr. Carson has served as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, among many other accomplishments. In 2016, Dr. Carson accepted the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Trump administration. Special thanks to the Varsity Cheer squad for all the spirit they brought to the basketball games. They did an amazing job pumping up our Lions fans and creating an exciting atmosphere at the games all season! The men's Soccer team played a challenging schedule this season to help prepare them for postseason play. Unfortunately, they came up short in the District finals with a tight loss against Highlands Christian in overtime.
