Last month the WA Junior Thespians spent the weekend in Orlando for the State competition. They attended various theater and dance workshops on Friday and took in a performance of the Broadway show “Newsies” that evening. On Saturday, they competed in various theatrical events in front of a panel of judges. They were striving to be awarded the titles of “Excellent” or “Superior.” The troupe celebrated their accomplishments at an awards dinner on Saturday evening and then a trip to Universal Studios! The Lions Parent Association will host a fishing tournament on Friday, March 31. The tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. from the Hillsboro Inlet. Weigh-ins will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, followed by an awards ceremony at 4:00 p.m. You may use your own boat or join us on a drift boat that will be available.
