Students in fourth grade took a trip to the oldest city in the U.S., known for its Spanish colonial architecture and rich history. Day one included the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the Old Jail, the Heritage Museum, the General Store, and a walking tour visiting historical landmarks around the city. On day two, visits included the Old Town Trolley Tour, the Military Hospital, the Lightner Museum featuring an immersive experience of art, architecture, history, and design, and then the Potters Wax Museum, which is the first established wax museum in the country. Students learned quite a bit about historical events...

Service is a trait we focus on throughout the school. Our Lower School and PREP students had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of blessing students at College Susan Schuenke in Haiti. The Lower School and PREP Student Council packed over 300 bags with presents for each student at the school. They also made Gospel bracelets to help share the love of Christ. We were honored to welcome Dr. Alveda King to our campus last week. Dr. King is the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She is an author, speaker, and activist with a passion for the pro-life cause. Dr. King serves as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Faith & Culture and is the Chair of the Center for the American Dream at America First Policy Institute. Junior Thespians in grades 6-8 competed in the District competition and received 8 Superiors and 12 Excellent ratings from the judges! They participated in multiple events showcasing their acting, singing, design skills, and overall performance abilities. Exploratory courses in PREP are designed to discover and develop each student’s unique gifts and talents for God’s glory. This year, we expanded the exploratory programming with a new course called Joyful Gestures. Joyful Gestures is a service learning program rooted in the Bible. Inspired by verses like Acts 20:35, where Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” students embark on meaningful adventures of compassion and generosity.
