Our sixth-grade students enjoyed Overnight Adventure Atlantis at Kennedy Space Center and Universal Studios earlier this month. The trip was a thrilling educational experience for our students as they explored the history and advancements of space exploration and spent the night under the Space Shuttle Atlantis. They also went behind the scenes at Universal Studios for a rollercoaster physics lesson. Students learned about mathematical engineering and design concepts. It was a culminating experience for our sixth-grade students and an opportunity to build community and lasting relationships....

Service is a trait we focus on throughout the school. Our Lower School and PREP students had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of blessing students at College Susan Schuenke in Haiti. The Lower School and PREP Student Council packed over 300 bags with presents for each student at the school. They also made Gospel bracelets to help share the love of Christ. Not only did this project allow our younger students an opportunity to serve, but WA alumni were involved as well! Sling bags were donated by Chris Carneal, Class of ’98, of Booster, and in conjunction with...

Dr. King serves as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Faith & Culture and is the Chair of the Center for the American Dream at America First Policy Institute. Dr. King shared with our students through a question-and-answer forum with Dr. Satterly in our Upper School Chapel. Afterward, she had lunch with our student ambassadors and leadership team. Later in the afternoon,...

Exploratory courses in PREP are designed to discover and develop each student’s unique gifts and talents for God’s glory. This year, we expanded the exploratory programming with a new course called Joyful Gestures. Joyful Gestures is a service learning program rooted in the Bible. Inspired by verses like Acts 20:35, where Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” students embark on meaningful adventures of compassion and generosity. By serving others, they experience the joy of following Christ’s example and positively impacting their community. Through various projects and activities, they discover the joy of helping others, cultivating empathy,...
