WA Athletics continues to shine with energy and enthusiasm! Over the Christmas break, our Lions showcased their talents and competitive spirit, excelling across multiple sports and tournaments. Men’s Basketball Our Men’s team competed in the prestigious City of Palms Tournament in Fort Myers and the King Cotton Classic in Arkansas. Welcome to the 2024-2025 winter athletic season! Below, you will find a list of the winter sport tryout dates and contact information for each coach. Bus transportation will be offered to and from the west campus athletic complex for student-athletes daily and will depart the east campus at 3:15 p.m. Also, we have transitioned to a new online platform this year called PRIVIT for our athletic physical documentation. Every student-athlete must have a PRIVIT account with all documents signed and submitted electronically, an ImPACT test, and three NFHS certificates (Heat Illness, Concussion in Sports, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest) before they try out. We are excited to offer Discover After-School Enrichment Clubs led by our very own faculty and staff for the first quarter. The clubs are designed to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for Lower School and PREP students after the regular school day ends. Through these clubs, we seek to enhance the educational experience by offering a variety of engaging activities that provide academic support, physical activity, and personal growth. Our Ladies’ Soccer team advanced to the Regional Semifinals and lost a close match against the True North Classical Titans 0-2. They got stronger as the season went on and had a solid postseason finish as District Runner-Ups. The Ladies’ Basketball team won the Regional Quarterfinals last night, so they will advance to the Regional Semifinals, which will be played on Monday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Somerset Prep North Lauderdale.
