Upper School Tag

One of our Portrait of a Graduate traits is “compassionate contributor.” Our goal is that students would recognize all they have been given is a gift from God and for His glory alone, respond with a grateful attitude, and be generous in action—seeking to help those who cannot help themselves. Junior Thespians in grades 6-8 competed in the District competition and received 8 Superiors and 12 Excellent ratings from the judges! They participated in multiple events showcasing their acting, singing, design skills, and overall performance abilities. Upper school students heard from renowned author and speaker Tony Reinke in chapel. He addressed technology, cell phones, social media, and their impact on our lives. On January 27, High School students spent the day volunteering in the community for Service Project Day. Each grade served at a different local non-profit organization. Students in 9th grade attended The Fruitful Field, where they worked in the community garden and helped to provide fresh produce to underserved families in the community, and at Feeding South Florida, where they packed 10,000 pounds of food. Students in 10th grade served for Heart2Heart Outreach, where they were split between two care center facilities impacting 40 senior citizens.
